Jaipur is called the Pink City of India. It is divided into six sectors. It was founded in 1727 by the ruler of Amber, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh. The city has a population of over 5 million people. Most of the buildings in Jaipur are painted with pink stucco to enhance the beautiful architectural construction and attracting more tourists this way.


Therefore Jaipur the well known pink city is famous for its many specialties. For eg. Forts, Palaces, rich heritage, culture, traditions, songs, way of living and languages. But rather than all these fascinations, the flavor attracts us more even though I am also a big ‘Junk Lover’.

1. Golgappa at Lalaji:




Who is not interested in “Golgappa” or “Patashi”.This is really a wonder of spice which is also known as Puchka and Paani-puri. This dish is phenomenal and everyone’s favorite.


The best place to eat Golgappa is at “Lalaji ki Patashi” in the Chaura rasta or named as Tripolia Bazar. These are really huge balls to eat them and the taste is out of this world. You can choose from a variety of spicy, sweet and tangy chutney and gorge your way through these custom made wonders.

2. Masala Chai at Gulab Ji Chaiwala:

  



If you are a die heart fan of tea and a tea-lover then you should try this place situated opposite Ganpati Plaza, Gulab Ji Chaiwala, the place which is famous for its Masala Chai and Bun Maska.


You can also try Bun Samosa with the flavor of Masala Chai itself. Whether if you don’t have a habit of having tea and if you barely drink it you can try it from this place only. Trust me, you’ll definitely become a tea-lover.


Hot tea served with Bun Samosa on the table is a craze here in Jaipur among locals. It is always packed and knocked you will find people sipping chai and gossiping their heart out here.


3. Pyaaz Kachori at Rawat Mishthan Bhandar:






Here Pyaaz Kachori is a trendy meal among the Rajasthani’s. This is the most tempting food item in Jaipur. And you’ll get it at Rawat Mishthan Bhandar at its highest taste. Once you taste these high on calories but even higher on taste Kachoris you won’t be able to stop eating it.


This is actually a restaurant where all bakery items are also in line to be sold like pastries, cakes, brownies, patties, pancakes, etc. but it is the most popular as a mithai shop. There is also a facility for ordering food online.


Apart from serving Pyaaz Kachori, they have almost 50 more varieties of different sweets and fast food. You can also try Samosa, (one more type of Kachori i.e,. Dal Kachori, Mirchi-Vada, Bread Pakoda, Jalebis, and many other items, that is basically a nightmare for people on a diet. Is there anyone who doesn't love to eat Pav Bhaji. I don’t think so. We all love butter-laden Pav Bhaji and yes it is a fact that Pandit’s Pav Bhaji is proved to be heaven when it comes to eating this delicious meal.


The Pav Bhaji stall of Pandit is located near Birla Mandir. And there are so many other stalls with the same name. You can taste any of them. This place has earned a permanent name on the list of best places to eat in the city.


The freshness and fragrance attract both the locals and tourists equally and the pav bhaji which is completely loaded with butter with beautiful weather in the night and a temple nearby seems to be the best place to have fast food. 5. Lassi at Lassiwala:


 

Once I was passing from M.I. road, it was a sunny day and I was thirsty then I decide to drink a glass of Lassi from Lassiwala at M.I. road. And it was a pure and soulful Lassi which filled me with a lot of zeal and energy. Here not only Punjabi's but Rajasthani also know how to serve a delicious glass of lassi.


At this place, the lassi is served in earthen pots which adds a unique aroma to it. It is available in both the flavors, sweet and sour as well. The lassi is topped with a thick layer of Malai which leaves you refreshingly fresh and also surprisingly full. Make sure to visit this place in the early hours so that you won’t miss that best lassi of entire India.

6. Kulfi for Falooda at Guddu Wala’s:




Everyone in Jaipur is fond of desserts whether at weddings or late-night dinner parties. You can have the best Kulfi in shop 88A, near Ajmeri Gate, Nehru Bazar, Yadgaar Gali, Jaipur.


If you are visiting this place then you can also find it on google maps. This shop is located in a Gali corner in the main Nehru Bazar. This street is always packed and full of hustle and bustle with the crowd.

7. Best Street Food at Masala Chowk:




If you really very hungry and you want to end all your cravings then Masala Chowk is that one best spot to do it. This place is an open food court where you can go with your family at night and everyone can have their loving food items.


This place consists of a variety of food. Masala Chowk is located in Ram Niwas Garden. This place established for the tourist but gradually it has become the favorite hangout place for the residents of Jaipur.


This place consists of the variety like Samosa, Jalebi, Gol Gappa, Chole Bhature, Tea, Mishri Mawa, Churma Dal-Baati, and also south Indian food items. Hurry up and happy crunching!

8. Statue ki Coffee:

  


Hey guys, if you have a coffee fever and you want to try the best coffee in Jaipur. Then you can try “Uncle ki Coffee”. This is a small shop at the statue circle which seems to provide the best coffee. It serves both types: hot and cold as well. 



But my personal favorite is cold so I will definitely advise you to try a cold one. And if you are a gym freak then after a heavy workout it would be the best choice.



9. Bombay Sandwich at Saraogi Mansion:




The specialty of this sandwich is engraved with so many other ingredients. These small ingredients add on to the Bombay sandwich which makes it more delicious and mouth-watering in taste.


The non-grilled sandwich is made up of two or more pieces of bread coated with butter, cream and stuffed with sliced kheera(cucumber), sometimes with boiled potatoes, 0 sizes namkeen, and last but not the least chat masala with outstanding flavors.


In the end, it is finely served and garnished with coriander leaves with tomato catch-up and green chutney. This stall of the Bombay sandwich is located near Saraogi mansion at Bapu Bazar, M.I. road and visiting hours are from 11 AM to 9:30 PM.

10. Paan at Prem Paan:




After having a great meal you all must have a craving of eating paan at night with your family. As it is a craze among Jaipurites. One of the best paan sellers in Jaipur is Prem Paan Wala. Here you can get a variety of plans.


Ranging from the humble Saada/Meetha paan to a set of Zarda's and Jodis and flavored paans, Chocolate loaded paan. And the most exotic one is the Fire Paan, where the paan in flambeed and the paan guy feeds it to you. That is an experience that one must-have. They also claim to have some Paans which are medicinal in nature for the common cold, mouth ulcers, etc. The efficacy of the same needs to be verified.
